My background is in international education and student engagement. I like finding technologies that connect students, builds interdisciplinary collaboration across units and using data to find personalized ways of teaching/learning.

Born and raised in Paraguay, majored in Business Administration I always wanted to pursue a Master in Education which I’m finally doing here at UM in the Higher Education program. I led a private university's www.columbia.edu.py biggest campus from 2004 until 2013. I’m seeking to enhance or innovate the way universities can reach a broader audience were I believe education technology would have a major impact in the near future.
Amy studied at the University of Utah, earning an Honors BA in English Literature and BFA in Ballet Performance. She pursued her M.Ed. in Educational Leadership and Policy at the University of Utah while working as a graduate assistant at the A. Ray Olpin Student Union. From 2008-2015, Amy worked at Western Governors University (WGU), an online, non-profit, and competency-based university. She recently served as Chief of Staff and subsequently Manager of Program Development at WGU. During her time at WGU, Amy worked with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Lumina Foundation, and state governors on WGU initiatives. Amy is currently a doctoral student in the Center for the Study of Higher and Postsecondary Education with a concentration in Organizational Behavior and Management. Her research interests include leadership in higher education and its impact on student access and success.
